This city is very extensive, although the main attractions are located near the Old Town. It is divided into 7 new districts and 28 historic districts. Those of tourist interest are the most central, included between the new districts 4 and 5, while district 3 develops along the coast, also including the historic district of Barcola, where you can stay if you are looking for a quieter area close to the sea.
The main areas of tourist interest and ideal to stay in are those in the centre, such as Città Vecchia, Borgo Teresiano and Borgo Giuseppino, ideal due to their proximity to the main attractions, for the nightlife and the many clubs to choose from; Barcola, near the sea, with places like the beach of Barcola and the promenade; and finally the hilly area of Guardiella, were you will find San Giusto, with a wonderful view of the whole city and the sea!
